Connecting San Diego's Homeless Youth to Essential Resources

About image
Our Mission:  Our mission is to connect San Diego’s homeless youth to essential services to end the cycle of homelessness.

Aspen Interlinks' purpose is to establish a comprehensive online resource guide of health and human service agencies that provide aid to homeless and at-risk youth until they reach their 25th birthday. The resources in this database will include community-based organizations in San Diego that provide services and promote safety and self-sufficiency as an alternative to the streets and ensure that the database will be updated quarterly. The members of these organizations are also kept up to date with any changes to programs to work together to end youth homelessness.

Our Vision:  Our Vision is that all youth have safety, stability, support and success.

What's in a name?  Above the ground, while looking at an Aspen grove, each tree appears to be an individual tree, but what you don't see is that under the surface they are connected by a common root system, therefore what happens to one tree affects the Aspen grove as a whole.

Our community is also interconnected and relies on a singular root system for its survival. For the whole community to thrive, we must work together on helping each other rise above our circumstances.

“We need aspen sensitivity, aspen memory, and aspen compassion. We need to learn how to enliven that depth of connectedness, whereby we can feel all of humanity while living our small, individual lives.”
